Riverside Meadows Intermediate School

The Math Department has an emphasis on problem-solving which will benefit students throughout their lives.
 
Classes include the basics of Sixth and Seventh Grade math, followed by Math 8/Algebra A, which presents the first half of a two-year algebra program. Students will complete the second half as high school freshmen.
 
Accelerated students who pass a math placement test before seventh grade may take Algebra 1 in Grade Seven, which covers the two-year program in one year. They then take Geometry in Grade Eight.
 
All classes meet the California Mathematics Content Standards for California Public Schools for Grades 6-8.
